COOKING
Rinse and drain in cold water prior to cooking.
To prepare, combine rice and water (1 cup rice to 2 1/4 cups water) in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover it and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook the rice for 30–35 minutes until tender and chewy, and all the liquid has been absorbed. Remove the pan from the heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes before removing the lid. Use a fork to fluff rice before serving.
