Organic Red Rice
Red rice is a type of 'unpolished' rice, retaining higher nutritional value than white rice. Use anywhere you would use white rice for more fibre and an earthier, fuller flavour.

COOKING
Rinse and drain in cold water prior to cooking.
To prepare, bring two cups of water to the boil in a large saucepan. Add one cup of red rice and a pinch of salt, give it a stir and bring it back to the boil, then lower the heat to let it gently simmer. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 45 minutes or until soft and fluffy. Turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve hot, or spread out to cool if using for a salad.
