The purest form of heaven on earth - artichokes in oil. Globe artichokes are organically grown and hand harvested in Puglia, then the hearts (read: the best bits) are plunged into a traditional blend of oil, vinegar, laurel and pepper. I can't resist eating them all straight from the jar; but you could also lightly fry them for a very tasty starter, toss them through a simple salad or mix with white beans and basil for a light summer side dish.
