Opinel Knives
Opinel Inox was founded in 1890 in the Savoie region of France by Joseph Opinel, and his descendants still own the company. Opinel employs around 100 people; produce 4 million knives per year; all of their manufacturing is still done in Chambery. The easily-recognisable Opinel folding knife is acknowledged as one of the best knives in the world.

Pallarès Solsona founded in 1917, is the only remaining testament to the renowned knife-making industry, still maintaining exceptional standards of quality and craftsmanship. Each knife is still crafted, stamped and sharpened by hand.
