The 'Classico' is my go-to for an elegant, traditional Panettone, made with high quality butter, eggs, and candied citrus. These are more expensive than your average supermarket/deli Panettone, but its definitely a 'get what you pay for' situation, and these are a world apart from the 'dry bread' panettone a lot of people are used to. 

We love taking a Panettone as a gift to the host, or if you are staying with friends and family over Christmas. Slice it up and lightly pan-fry with butter, and serve with heavy cream or brandy cream for a breakfast in the week between Christmas and New Years. Or, make Panettone bread & butter pudding for a show-stopping dessert.
